Sam Varma is a British live and session guitarist, vocalist, video
editor, and international man of mystery. Original member of
award-winning Chicago private-event band Maggie Speaks and hanger-on for
anything else he finds cool.
You can find him sharing the stage on guitar around the country with
members of Rascal Flatts, The Eagles, The Beach Boys, Chicago, Journey,
Night Ranger, Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac, Kool & The
Gang, Starship, Kansas, Everclear, Sugar Ray, The Temptations, The Four
Tops, Loverboy, and Rusted Root, as well as solo artists including Sara
Evans, Treach, Ton-Loc, Uncle Kracker, and Coolio.
Currently residing in Chicago, he is also active as a video editor and
social media director for Maggie Speaks. He co-edited the indie
documentary Cover 21: Ignite Chicago (currently on Amazon Prime) in
2021, and is currently in post-production on live action music comedy
series “The Adventures of Dirk Balsäk”.
Most recently appears on the album “Rock ‘n’ Roll Disease” by legendary
Geffen Records artist Warrior Soul, the hotly anticipated follow-up to
his role on 2017’s “Back On The Lash”.
He grew up bouncing between Mexico City and a small alpine village in
Austria, being exposed to a kaleidoscope of music and culture.
Graduate of Musicians Institute, Hollywood, CA. Performed, recorded, and
toured in the U.S. and internationally with indie and major label
artists including Dogstar, Kicking Harold, Bret Domrose, and Denise
Marsa.
